In the example below I’ve searched for vegan food and can either add the keyword video or filter by video in the drop-down options on the right of the search bar.
Here’s a quick Pinterest Video Pin I made that took minutes to create using Canva Pro.
All I’ve done is create a normal pin graphic, but added a Canva animation on the top by using the keywords “star animated”.

The absolute quickest way to transform your Pinterest Pins into video pins is to add a Canva Animation.
To find animated graphics, just type in your keyword into the Elements search bar. In this example, I’ve entered “Star animated” and then clicked on Graphics to filter for just graphic elements.
I can then search Canva’s library and find the most appropriate animated graphic
You can also animate certain sections of your image. In the examples below, I’ve used Canva Pro and selected my text and applied a Typewriter animation. In the other image, I’ve put the “Pop” animation on my main character.

Biteable is a simple online video editor for making bite-sized videos for social media.
You pick a template, then add your own images or video and text. Like Canva, you can also use a stock library of images and videos.
Biteable videos are VERY quick to make and you don’t need any video editing skills at all to make them.

3. Record your own vertical video for Pinterest
This is the simplest method of all. Just point the camera at yourself and start talking!
You could then import it into Canva and add any stickers or images over the top to make it more engaging.
Or why not try the Canva Record Yourself feature. It uses your own webcam to record video and INSTANTLY drops it into the image you are working on.
Just go to Uploads > Record Yourself and start talking. Once you’re done the video will instantly drop into the canvas you are working on.
4. Repurpose from TikTok, Snapchat or IGTV/Reels
If you are already shooting videos for your other channels, why not repurpose them for Pinterest.

Links to your core content (i.e. website, landing page or social media channel)
Once you’ve completed this, just hit publish.
