With over 2 billion users on Facebook, getting your page found is a monumental task.

With organic reach declining too, is there anything you can do to get your page found by prospects and drive more traffic to your Facebook page for free?

Aside from asking friends and colleagues to follow your page and share your content, there are a few other clever ways to promote your Facebook page in other places.

How can I promote my Facebook page?

  1. Add your Facebook link to your website

  2. Add your Facebook page to your Contact Page

  3. Add social share buttons to your blog posts

  4. Embed Facebook page posts into your blog posts

  5. Add your Facebook page posts to Google My Business as an update

  6. Add your page to your email signature

  7. Create Pinterest Pin linking to your Facebook page

It may seem like an obvious one, but so many times I’ve reviewed someone’s website only to find that the web designer has forgotten to hyperlink Facebook to the business’ account.

2. Add your Facebook page to your Contact Page

I highly recommend adding your social links and Facebook page details to your Contact Page as well.

Give your customers different ways to contact you. I bet some might prefer to DM or use Messenger via Facebook rather than send an email.

Some big brands have Facebook as a contact option as standard.

3. Add social share buttons to your blog posts

These are buttons that can either hover on your page or appear at the bottom of a blog post. When pressed the content is shared to the selected platform…including Facebook.

Just remember to check your blog post settings that you have a social share image and meta description so when someone does share your post the correct preview appears.

4. Embed Facebook page posts into your blog posts

I often reference my own Facebook posts or Instagram posts in my blog posts. If you have useful information related to your blog post.

Just located your Facebook post, click on the three dots to the top right and “embed code”. Then add that code to your blog page. You may need to select a Code block to do this in WordPress or Squarespace.

5. Add your posts to Google My Business

Google My Business is a very underutilised platform for promoting your business.

When you post to Facebook, why not post that content as an update to Google My Business.

6. Add your page to your email signature

People are highly engaged when they read email.

They can’t scroll away or be distracted as much. So when you have a captive audience like this, make the most of it.

Why not try including your Facebook business page in your email signature.

Or if you send out newsletters linking to any top tips or educational content that you shared as a post on your page.

7. Create a Pinterest Pin linking to your Facebook post or Page

Why not create a Pinterest graphic using Pinterest’s preferred dimensions and link back to your Facebook page.

Conclusion

If you want a little boost for your page, try these tactics and see if it makes a difference for your business.

You could cross-promote to your other social platforms too, but I find if you are on Twitter or Instagram, you tend to want to stay on that platform.
